Showcase Excellence in Technology Conference
March 1, 2011 University Center at Valdosta State University
Hosted by VSU Educational Technology Center, the "Showcase" Conference provides an opportunity for students in grades 2-12 to present unique technology-enhanced projects to other students in this region. Students will present 30 minute breakout sessions. Each breakout session is student driven demonstration of technology and curriculum related classroom activities. It's an opportunity for students to be spotlighted, to network with others, and to simply have a good time.

When: March 1, 2011
Registration Deadline: February 1, 2011 or when all available slots are taken.
8:30 - University Center will be open for student teams, facilitating teachers and guests.
8:45 - Welcome Session
9:30 - Breakout sessions begin.
Breakout sessions consist of a 30 minute presentation.
- Each team consists of 4 students and 1 teacher.
- Presentations are conducted by the students.
- Teachers will serve as a facilitator.
- Students will demonstrate and share how they have used technology integration paired with curriculum standards.

Each session time frame will have breakout sessions in the following locations
Executive Dining Room, Cypress Room, Theater, Rose Room and Dogwood Room
Session 1 9:30-10:00
Session 2 10:10-10:40
Session 3 10:50-11:20
Session 4 11:30-12:00
12:00 Lunch
12:30-1:00 Entertainment
1:00 - 1:15 Team sharing sessions
1:15-1:30 Teacher and Student give away
1:30 Conference Dismissal
